News: The CTMR Two
Cathedrals Service and Walk of Witness will now
happen on
May 11th 2008 and be a major focus of churches' celebrations
in that year.
Watch this space for a new date for instaling the Sheppard-Worlock
Memorial Sculpture sponsored by the Liverpool Echo
The site
aims to put churches, individual Christians and the general
public in touch with what is being organised by churches as
part of Liverpool's year as European Capital of
Culture
in 2008, as well as events in 2007, the 800th anniversary of the
city's founding and the 200th anniversary of the
British abolition of the
slave trade. There is also some space for reflection, through the blog
and a web-based journal, on the relationship between Christiainty
and culture, and the culture of Liverpool especially.
